Job Summary– Senior Architect (maternity cover)

The Senior Architect is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the conceptual and technical design of complex projects. This position demands a balance between creative vision and technical mastery, ensuring that designs are both aesthetically compelling and functionally sound. The Senior Architect will oversee the entire design process from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with client expectations, value engineering principles, and quality assurance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead innovative architectural design concepts from inception to final delivery.

  • Integrate sustainable design practices, modern materials, and emerging technologies into all project phases.

  • Ensure all designs meet established acceptance criteria, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary collaboration among architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants.

  • Lead design review and approval meetings, ensuring compliance with local codes and standards.

  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations to achieve successful delivery.

  • Develop and review architectural drawings, 3D renderings, and technical documentation.

  • Implement rigorous quality control and design review protocols to maintain high standards across projects.

  • Apply value engineering principles to optimize material use and cost efficiency without compromising aesthetics or integrity.

  • Continuously assess and refine design processes to enhance innovation, efficiency, and project value.

  • Serve as the key client liaison, presenting proposals and addressing design-related feedback.

  • Prepare and deliver professional presentations and reports to communicate design intent and technical findings.

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, regulatory bodies, and external partners to support project success.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (Master’s degree is an advantage).

  • 5–8 years of proven experience in architectural design and project coordination.

  • Strong experience in concept design, detailed drawings, and construction documentation.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other architectural design tools.

  • In-depth knowledge of building materials, structural systems, codes, and sustainability practices.

  • Strong creativity and ability to develop innovative, functional architectural solutions.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Proven leadership and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Arabic required; French is a plus.
