Job Summary:
The Projects Engineer will play a pivotal role in managing and executing a range of projects, including industrial facilities, residential developments, and mixed-use ventures. This position ensures adherence to project management standards, technical accuracy, safety regulations, and quality benchmarks while maintaining effective coordination among multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the execution of projects from planning through completion, ensuring compliance with company policies and client requirements.
Conduct site inspections, monitor project progress, and verify work completion in accordance with project schedules and quality standards.
Exhibit strong leadership in client management, leading meetings, coordinating follow-ups, and ensuring stakeholder alignment.
Prepare and maintain issues logs, weekly site reports, and progress summaries, providing actionable recommendations and solutions.
Coordinate effectively with project teams, consultants, contractors, and SD Group departments to ensure seamless communication and task execution.
Ensure adherence to project scope and proactively identify and manage potential scope changes.
Oversee technical documentation, design coordination, and interface management between disciplines.
Apply strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, project management principles, and construction methodologies to support project delivery.
Provide project progress updates and performance reports to senior management and clients.
Maintain strict compliance with safety regulations and quality management systems.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s in Construction Management or a related discipline preferred.
10–15 years of experience in project engineering or site supervision within engineering consultancy or construction firms.
Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure, residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
Proficiency in FIDIC contracts and modern project management methodologies.
PMP certification or equivalent is an advantage.
Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
In-depth knowledge of engineering design, construction methodologies, and project execution.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Primavera P6, MS Project, and other engineering software.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and conflict-resolution skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in English, French, and Arabic is required.
