Job Summary:
The Projects Engineer will play a pivotal role in managing and executing a range of projects, including industrial facilities, residential developments, and mixed-use ventures. This position ensures adherence to project management standards, technical accuracy, safety regulations, and quality benchmarks while maintaining effective coordination among multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the execution of projects from planning through completion, ensuring compliance with company policies and client requirements.
- Conduct site inspections, monitor project progress, and verify work completion in accordance with project schedules and quality standards.
- Exhibit strong leadership in client management, leading meetings, coordinating follow-ups, and ensuring stakeholder alignment.
- Prepare and maintain issues logs, weekly site reports, and progress summaries, providing actionable recommendations and solutions.
- Coordinate effectively with project teams, consultants, contractors, and SD Group departments to ensure seamless communication and task execution.
- Ensure adherence to project scope and proactively identify and manage potential scope changes.
- Oversee technical documentation, design coordination, and interface management between disciplines.
- Apply strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, project management principles, and construction methodologies to support project delivery.
- Provide project progress updates and performance reports to senior management and clients.
- Maintain strict compliance with safety regulations and quality management systems.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s in Construction Management or a related discipline preferred.
- 10–15 years of experience in project engineering or site supervision within engineering consultancy or construction firms.
- Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure, residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
- Proficiency in FIDIC contracts and modern project management methodologies.
- PMP certification or equivalent is an advantage.
- Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of engineering design, construction methodologies, and project execution.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Primavera P6, MS Project, and other engineering software.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English, French, and Arabic is required.
